On October 29th, HRSA issued a notice that Ryan White Clinics will be required to report client-level data on patients whose services are funded through program income, starting with the 2019 Ryan White Services Report (RSR).  Currently, RWHAP recipients and sub-recipients  are only required to report data for clients who receive services that are funded directed through the Ryan White grant.  HRSA proposes to implement the new reporting requirements using a “phased approach to allow time for recipients to expand their systems to collect the data.”  However, HRSA does not explain exactly how these requirements will be phased in.

The Notice was issued as an Information Collection Request (ICR) and stated that the revised RSR has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval.  Any comments received in response to the Notice will be provided to OMB.

In May 2018, HRSA issued a Request for Information stating that it was considering this change to the RSR.  RWC-340B submitted comments opposing this change.  The comment period on the Notice will close on November 28, 2018.
