Congressional Democrats are attempting to use the momentum gained from withdrawal of the AHCA to refocus attention on the drug pricing debate. Yesterday, Democrats in both the House and Senate introduced legislation titled “Improving Access to Affordable Prescription Drug Costs.” The legislation contains provisions addressing, among other things, transparency, Medicare drug pricing negotiation, and drug innovation.
