A growing number of pharmaceutical manufacturers have recently posed restrictions affecting Ryan White Clinics and other Safety Net Providers. RWC-340B has taken action to address these challenges head-on.
On Monday, April 11th, RWC-340B sent a letter to HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs Director, Dr. Emeka Egwim, congratulating him on his appointment and requesting a meeting with RWC-340B Board President Shannon Stephenson to discuss ongoing efforts and challenges. Also on Monday, RWC-340B sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, Xavier Becerra, thanking him for the work he has done to protect the future of 340B funding for Ryan White Clinics and other Safety Net Providers. Later in the week, RWC-340B formally responded to Gilead’s recent troubling policy changes, citing numerous examples and prior communication with the company’s leadership.
